The Tornek-Rayville divers watch was made in the mid-1960s. These watches were strictly made for the United States military. The dial of the watch typically will have the company name, Tornek Rayville and U.S. below it. On the lower front of the dial will be a circle, sometimes one color or two colors. On occasion the dial will have the Tornek-Rayville name removed. The back of case will have engraved the following:
IF FOUND RETURN TO NEAREST MILITARY FACILITY
DANGER
NON MAGNETIC
RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL
Luckly today these watches are no longer harmful to handle. Typically this model was issued to a diver and then returned. Some of these watches were kept by servicemen.
