Iconic diving helmet made by Advanced Diving Equipment Company. The helmet was invented by George Swindell and became very popular with divers around the world, hence the common name given to them, the Swindell helmet. This helmet is a mixed gas model featuring the original seldom-seen orange paint on the fiberglass body. Serial #634 is present on the inside neck ring. Please refer to the photos for the overall condition. This helmet has seen a lot of jobs in the past but is ready for restoration or enjoyment as is.

This model 3000 was used by the Ocean Corporation in Houston, TX. Afterward, it was purchased by an individual who had Bob Johnson of Able Marine service this helmet for use. The service included a new neck dam, jock cables and clips, servicing of the air intact control valve, and exhaust valves. The original external appearance was kept intact.

Gas hats were made in fewer numbers than the standard model 2000 air hat. The helmet is being sold as a display piece and should not be used until properly inspected by a certified company.

All helmets sold by Nations Attic Inc. will have a certificate of authenticity (COA). This COA will have a serial # on it that will match the # on a tamperproof holographic decal placed on the inside of the helmet. This level of security and long-term assurance of the helmet’s authenticity is unmatched in the industry and very important to us.

The helmet will be shipped in a specially prepared box via FedEx. Worldwide shipping is available. A shipping quote prior to the auction can be provided by emailing your postal code.
