This is a very unusual and rarely seen diving helmet made by the commercial diving division of U.S. Divers out of Santa Barbara, California. This model was called the Com Hat 1 and was designed for the US military.

This US Navy did not purchase this model hence the very low number made and surviving today. This example may be one of the nicest still in existence! The yellow painted fiberglass body is in excellent condition with only light surface wear to the yellow surface. The helmet weighs approximately 20 pounds.
