This is arguably the most desirable book on antique diving helmets ever published. Titled Helmets Of The Deep by Leon Lyons, this specific example is a hardcover Deluxe Leather Edition. Only 100 were published, with this example number 61, and signed with an inscription. The book contains hundreds of color photos of some of the rarest and most interesting diving helmets documented by Mr. Lyons up to the late 1980s.

The Deluxe Leather Edition does feature the classic dust cover. The dust cover is in very good condition with only slight imperfections from very limited handling. The book itself is encased in a rich dark red leather padded front and back. The inside is inscribed to the original owner of the book from the author, along with a date from 1998. All of the pages are intact, with no rips or tears. There is some slight foxing on the upper and side edges. Overall, this rare example is in beautiful condition and will not disappoint.
