Since the 1960s DESCO has made the venerable “Air Hat”, also known by names such as “Free Flow” and “Pot Hat.” Its incredible design, durability, and safety record have kept it in constant use around the world into the 21st century. DESCO still sells this model with a price of over $7000.
 
This example and its sequentially serial-numbered brother (also for sale) were recently discovered. Both helmets were originally ordered by an international machining and repair company in the United States. The helmets were used only a few times and then put into storage. The COA that will accompany this helmet will have the company’s name in order to preserve the history of the helmet.
 
This helmet is serial #1147 and has a Roman numeral 1 on the top. A consistent patina is evident on the outside. Inside the helmet, the originally installed components are still intact. There are no visible areas of damage. Overall, the helmet is in excellent original condition. Please review the photos for additional details.
 
All helmets sold by Nations Attic Inc. will have a certificate of authenticity (COA). This COA will have a serial # on it that will match the # on a tamperproof holographic decal placed on the inside of the helmet.
