This is a unique opportunity to own an early pump and the perfect restoration project!

This antique three-cylinder divers air pump is just waiting for someone to restore it! This early 19th-century style pump, unfortunately, does not feature any manufacturer's names on the outside or inside. The pump does fit the style and configuration of examples made by John Date in Canada.

Unlike a majority of pumps made in the 20th Century, earlier examples many times had a peaked lid and did not feature a pressure gauge on the front. The external wood case has never been restored. There is a large steel door on hinges on the front. This door opens, allowing easy access to the pump mechanism. Surprisingly the pump moves and is not seized up. The photos show the pump on a furniture dolly for size reference. Sorry, it does not come with wheels.

These pumps were built so well that they can be restored back to a fully functional condition. They also make a very impressive diving helmet display stand as well. In some cases, the internal pump mechanism removed from the external box is even more impressive on display.

The outside case measures 39” tall, 24” deep, 27” wide. The width of the pump shaft is 35”. The square shaft ends fit a wheel with a 1-1/4" opening. We would estimate the weight to be approximately 500 pounds.

The pump can be picked up in Wichita, KS, at our facility. We also have a moving company that can deliver this pump within the United States. Email us a postal code and we can provide you a quote.
